Metabolic Health- What is that?
These fish are sick.
What would you do to help them?
Clean the tank and refresh the water OR medicate the fish?
For many the first instinct is to medicate the fish but that will not get to the root cause of what is making them sick their tank is dirty. Where do you start to clean out your tank?
Let’s start with the #basics
The Wellness Pyramid illustrates how #wellness is a combination of lifestyle and healthcare. When lifestyle is the focus, health is naturally achieved and maintained. As you live these principles and use powerful #natural products for support, you’ll experience new levels of wholeness and wellness.
I’ll be using the term “#metabolichealth” a lot, because it’s arguably the most important indicator of how much you’re at risk for developing a largely preventable chronic disease.
Metabolic health is an indication of how well your metabolism is functioning.
if your metabolism isn’t working optimally, then your body won’t be able to properly extract energy and nutrients from the food you eat
Obviously, proper #nutrition starts with eating healthy, balanced meals, but smart, high-quality supplementation ensures nothing is missed. By taking the whole food supplements every day, you can be confident you’re filling any gaps in your nutrition and building a thriving foundation. #LLV is composed of three supplements, which are designed to be taken together: Microplex VMz®, xEO Mega®, and Alpha CRS+®. Together, these supplements provide essential nutrients, metabolism benefits, and powerful #antioxidants that promote energy, health, and lifelong vitality.
Every time our #bloodsugar spikes, it increases our aging process and slows down our metabolism. Hyperglycemia is the medical term for high blood sugar, it is the number one cause of type 2 Diabetes and is avoidable and curable.
What causes sudden spikes in blood sugar?
Coffee—even without sweetener. Some people's blood sugar is extra-sensitive to caffeine. Losing sleep—even just one night of too little sleep can make your body use insulin less well. Skipping breakfast—going without that morning meal can increase blood sugar after both lunch and dinner.
Eating whole and minimally processed food is the path to better health. Does that mean you can never have a treat? Of course not. It’s just that many people have become used to almost everything they eat being a treat. A nightly bowl of ice cream after dinner isn’t a treat—it’s a routine. For most, having an occasional dessert isn’t a problem, especially if it’s homemade. However, anyone with metabolic health issues should talk with a health provider to clarify what’s okay and what to avoid
What do #metabolism and aging have to do with one another? Think of the way a car engine burns gasoline for fuel. This process generates kinetic energy (movement). It also has a byproduct of exhaust. As your body does its job creating and using energy, it also creates a byproduct: free radicals. Free radicals are generated during metabolic processes. They have some purposes, but a buildup of free radicals can cause oxidative damage, which ages your cells. #Antioxidants fight free radicals and help prevent oxidative stress, which is part of why eating fruits and vegetables—especially antioxidant-rich ones—is so important!
